SCVS has a team of funding professionals who can support your organisation by offering bespoke bid writing training, identifying potential funding sources and preparing your bid submissions on your behalf.
SCVS has a team of bid writers who can offer a full service to your group that will support you in gaining funding. We have several members of staff with extensive knowledge in submitting bids and grant applications who have successfully obtained over £200,000 for local organisations in the last year. We have a number of different packages of support available that can be discussed on request and can allow SCVS to take on your full funding process from the point of identifying potential providers to creating your grant submissions and supplying them to you. For a discussion about how we can help please contact Sarah.Williams@swalecvs.co.uk
SCVS has an attached training department that offers many courses that can help develop the skills of your organisation staff and volunteers including a Bid Writing course. You can look to book onto one of the courses we run and interact with other groups to share experiences or alternatively you can book a bespoke funding course that is delivered just to your group members and can be tailored to meet the specific needs that you feel you have. For more information please click the Training page
At SCVS we have access to a national database service called Grantfinder that we can use to identify possible funding sources for your organisation based on a small number of details that you provide. For more information please click the Grantfinder page
Julia is the Volunteer Centre Manager at SCVS but in addition to this role she was also part of the Funding Buddies project that used to operate within Swale. Julia specialises in working with local sports clubs helping them gain the funding they require to develop their teams and facilities and has most noticeably worked with Faversham Strike Force helping them to secure over £80,000 to create a new 3G pitch that was completed earlier this year and will have an official opening ceremony in May 2014.
“The support that we have been given by SCVS has been a vital part in us securing funding for our new all-weather football pitch.”
Sarah is the Assistant Director of SCVS and acts as a representative from the VCS on many of the key strategic partnerships across the borough. Sarah was a key partner of both the Creative People and Places - Ideas Test Medway and Swale and the Big Local Eastern Sheppey Programme that realised over £1.4million and £1 million of funding for the local areas.
"Sarah, you have supported our organisation so very well in the past and I want to thankyou for the help you gave me and you have my sincerest thanks. People rarely say anything about excellence at work, it quite often goes unrecognised. Keep doing what you do, cheers cleverclogs !"
Zoe is part of the Swale Mediation Team and has been involved in several funding bids for that organisation to ensure that it remained financially stable following the loss of its core funding.
